Mr. Teller Jacques, professor of urban planning at the University of Liège, presented a reference framework of sustainable neighbourhoods. This referential aims to operationalize the concept of sustainable neighbourhoods by objectivizing the minimum criteria to be met to qualify for this designation of eco-neighbourhood.
This approach will make it possible to develop sustainable neighbourhoods that are part of a sustainable development approach, because beyond the issues related to location and mobility, the development of sustainable neighbourhoods is also a response to the current energy and environmental challenges.
